The Lawrence Of Arabia Movie. Now those who ask who played Lawrence of Arabia, and that would be Peter O'Tool, and his epic performance. Now this movie has been around a long time, and is still talked about today. It definitely worthy of any movie classic collection, especially back in the day when acting, was acting.

It's been awhile since I've personally watched this movie, and actually plan on doing so tonight. I remember so very little of it, and here I am trying to tell you what the movie is about. I do know it's a 1962 historical dram film, British made I believe, and about the life of E.T. Lawrence.

The movie also included Anthony Quinn, Omar Sharif, Anthony Quayle, Claude Rains, and Arthur Kennedy. I've always bee a big fan of Omar Sharif, although I have head some stories on his behavior, which kind of shocked me, but anyways, back to the movie. He did behave in the Lawrence Arabia movie though, so have to give the guy a little credit, but anyways,

The premise of the movie, is about Timothy O'Toole's inner battle with loyalty, and where he stand with country, and Queens, or perhaps it was a king at that time who got the love of the people, and I remember so little about the movie, best just stick to what I remember of it, without giving up any spoilers, but once I think about it, I'd assume many have watched this film prior, so there I go again sticking my foot in my mouth. He became pretty attached to the tribes in the desert, and it was tearing away at himself, on who he truly was as a person.

The movie was a joint effort with both American, and British cooperation, on what ever that means. Did the take turns filming different sequences in the movie? Shared writing, scripts, filming, that I'm not sure of. It's not 100% historically accurate, but the film yet does have historical credence in much of it.

The movie gives insight of "Lawrence's Life" from his time in WWI, serving as a lieutenant in the British Army, to his first adventures into Arab land, collecting information on a revolt against the Turks, by Prince Faisal, who he later ends up meeting, and takes a liking to him. He ends up befriending many others, as his time in the desert transforms him into his surroundings.

The Lawrence Of Arabia Movie is packed full of action, drama, suspense, and skilled acting on the part of O'Toole's ability to solely focus the movie on just him, when the time came to be needed. Omar Sharif has the same abilities, but his talent was not so much pushed in the movie. He was already an established, and well known start in the Middle East already. His role was interned to be even less, and was going to be killed off in the movie, and early in the movie, when he was just suppose to be a guide, who got killed by the Turks, but ended up changing roles with the guide, to be a Prince of a tribe. Talking about interesting facts of the movie.

Anthony Quinn also did a great job, and melted into his role easily, and enjoyed it too. Spent hours on his makeup, and could fool production, that he was actually a native Arab. His performance was epic, and the movie wouldn't have been the same with out him, and his skill to portray anybody he wanted to be. The man really took his acting seriously in the filming of the "Lawrence Arabia Movie". That was going to be the actual title by the way.

All the actors, and actresses, which is kind of odd for a movie of such magnitude, had no women in it, mentioning credits. I don't mean that in a conflicting way, but this was a truly all male cast, and the movie fit it just right. Having a love interest, would have ruined it. The movie premise was not about that, but on Lawrence. I could just see what a remake of the movie would be like today, when it's intention were to portray historical accuracy, but failed some in that department, to the remake being purely fictional. I'd just assume stick to the original classic, and not some remake, that will be like the likes Gilligan's Island.

Some ask where Lawrence Of Arabia where filmed. I know some parts were shot in Jordan, Morocco, and Spain. Jordan ended up banning the film, claiming it was disrespectful of the Arab people.

Anyways, if you're interested in purchasing the Lawrence Of Arabia Movie" on DVD of course, but there may be some VHS's available also, for those who still use a VCR. Yes, I ave one, and have a lot of movies still on VHS, that in my collection, and would be will to bet many of us do.

Anyways, I'd assume most are DVD, or Blu Ray. Choose for yourself what format you'd like, just search around, and assuredly you'll find what you're looking for.
